18 SQM this is a standard size for a studio apartment in Paris! This must include living area, sleeping facility, kitchen and bathroom… Lets say it can be a challenge to fit it all in, but it wouldn’t be interesting if it wasn’t.
For this project, the client being retired in the countryside, I was involved of all aspects of the project, down to the choice of the silverware. The remote dealings with the clients proved to be effective, as they were quite reactive and prompt at making choices.
A restricted budget forced some of the decisions by itself, as budget was set from the start and had to be followed to the point. You can still have a nice finish, even if you are on a budget. And the best interior designs are not necessarily linked to high end materials.
The idea for this rental was to get a style not linked to the fashion on trend at the moment, so it lasts in the years to come. A special thought was given while choosing the different materials (floor coverings, finish of paint, light fixtures…) on their durability and longevity, how easy their maintenance is and resistant to heavy usage by the tenants.
Result was instant: within less than a day of listing, 20 applications were on the table and ad was taken off before end of business day, as the phone was ringing every 5 min! Rental agency told us it’s the first time one of their listing kicks off that fast. I replied “Normal, it has be designed by Pierre!”
